This Privacy Policy explains what information meetingpricetag.com ("we", "us", "the Site") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: the calculator runs entirely in your browser and we never see the numbers you enter; like most websites, we use analytics and advertising services that rely on cookies, and you can opt out of personalized ads.

1. Calculator Data — Never Collected

Everything you type into the meeting cost calculator — attendee counts, salaries, hourly rates, currencies, timer results — is processed locally in your browser using JavaScript. This data is never transmitted to, stored on, or seen by our servers. The only calculator-related value saved on your device is your dark/light theme preference, stored in your browser's local storage.

2. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and the third-party services below may automatically receive standard technical information, including your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. This information is used in aggregate to understand how the Site is used and to keep it secure.

3. Analytics

We use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which pages are popular, where visitors come from, and how long they stay. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers. The data we see is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4. Advertising — Google AdSense

We display advertisements served by Google AdSense to keep the Site free. You should know the following about how ad serving works:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites on the Internet.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites.

5. Cookies

This Site uses cookies for three purposes: analytics (Google Analytics, described above), advertising (Google AdSense and its partners, described above), and core WordPress functionality (for example, if you leave a comment, an optional cookie can remember your name and email for next time; if you log in as an administrator, login cookies keep your session active). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the calculator will continue to work normally with cookies disabled.

6. Comments

If you leave a comment on an article, we collect the data shown in the comment form (name, email, and comment text), plus your IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you have a profile picture there; the Gravatar privacy policy describes how they handle it. Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so that follow-up comments can be recognized automatically.

7. Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this Site may include embedded content (for example, videos or social media posts). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website directly: those sites may collect data about you, use cookies, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content.

8. Your Rights — GDPR (EEA/UK Visitors)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, export, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing. Because the Site collects almost no personal data directly, most requests will concern comment data or data held by Google (see the opt-out links above for advertising data). To exercise any right, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Your Rights — CCPA (California Visitors)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell personal information for money. The use of advertising cookies may constitute "sharing" under California law; you can opt out using the advertising links in Section 4, or by enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser.

10. Children's Privacy

The Site is a workplace productivity tool intended for professional audiences. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Data Security and Retention

The Site is served over HTTPS. We retain automatically collected log and analytics data only as long as needed for the purposes described above. Comment data is retained indefinitely as described in Section 6.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date at the top.
